Mission Statement The Church at All Saints, Hordle and St. Andrew's, Tiptoe exists to:
Mission Partnerships Coffee Hour on Friday mornings from 9am in the Church Memorial Hall, for Mums, Dads and Carers from the School. Butare Cathedral, Rwanda As part of Lyndhurst Deanery, the parish is linked with the Anglican Province of Rwanda, and we support it through the Deanery Lent Project and in team visits in both directions. We also have a direct link with Butare Cathedral which has responsibility for Youth Work, Evangelism and Outreach, Staffing and Training, and Planning in the Diocese of Butare. Recognising the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS worldwide, Mildmay accepted a pioneering role in the management of this scourge. This work started in London and spread to Africa and elsewhere. Their expertise is still sought in setting up and maintaining similar centres. The parish has a long-standing partnership with Mukinge Hospital. We have over many years supported nursing staff and those involved in nurse training. Several members of the congregation have visited Mukinge and helped in the community in various ways. Our children in JAM support Zayed, a boy at the Helen Keller School for the Visually Handicapped near Jerusalem. We share the Bible Society's passion for bringing the Bible back into our everyday life. The Society continues to promote the availability of the Bible in all other languages. St. Luke's Hospital for the Clergy, London ... St. Luke's provides medical care for Anglican clergy, church workers and mission partners in the UK and overseas. The hospital has recently been refurbished. We partake in their Christmas Child project. They aim to send a shoe box of suitable toys, games, hats, scarves and sweets to millions of children in need throughout the world, mostly Eastern Europe. Our churches and schools have sent over 200 boxes each year. Individuals, groups and families have all taken part. |
