Church History The first Memorial Hall, Woodcock Lane The Church purchased the first hall site in Woodcock Lane in 1949. A large part of the cost for the hall was given by Capt. and Mrs. Rosoman in memory of their son, Charles, who was in the Fleet Air Arm and who was killed, aged 22, in an aeroplane which crashed over Malta in July 1947. The purchase deed stated that the site was to be used for ecclesiastical purposes, and that deed automatically applied to the hall building when it was erected a couple of years later. The hall in Woodcock Lane was used by the church for a variety of "ecclesiastical" activities. However, a provision in the purchase deed meant it could also be available for lettings to village organisations, and numerous meetings and groups made use of the hall over the years. In March 2005, a new hall in Hordle Lane, adjacent to the church building, was opened.
Facilities in a new hall, to serve both church and community, are provided in the new two-storey building. Three rooms of differing sizes are available for use, offering facilities which greatly support the work of the church in many areas. The Sunday School and Youth Group are able to meet there in close proximity to the church building. Two modern kitchens exist to meet various catering needs, ranging from basic light drinks to full meal functions. A new church Parish Office is located on the premises. This is open weekdays between 9.30am and 12 noon for enquiries, including hall bookings. The following rooms are available for hire:
The original Memorial plaque which was in the first hall has been retained and is now located at the entrance to the main hall - the Rosoman Room. Hall Bookings Booking enquiries may be
